Thursday, July 1, 2010 - Vilnius (Lithuania)
Upon your arrival, you will be greeted by your tour guide and transferred to Hotel Algirdas in Vilnius.
You will have dinner at Hotel Algirdas followed by an overnight stay.
Friday, July 2 - Vilnius – Trakai - Vilnus (Lithuania)
You will start your first full day in the Lithuania capital city with a morning tour of Vilnius Old Town. UNESCO included Vilnius Old Town on the World Culture Heritage List because of its unique mixture of different architecture. Here you can see some of the greatest architectural styles of Europe – Gothic, Renaissance, Baroque and Classical -- all meeting to illuminate and contrast the beauty of each.
You will then be off to a sightseeing tour of Trakai and will enjoy a nice lunch on the shore of the lake.
Later, you will return to Hotel Algirdas in Vilnius for an overnight stay.
Saturday, July 3 - Vilnius (Lithuania)
Today is a day of leisure where you can explore other interesting aspects of Vilnius. If you wish, you can go on the optional tours to Europe Park and Kaunas (the second biggest city in Lithunania located 60 miles from Vilnius).
Upon your return from exploring Vilnius on your own or enjoying the splendor of Europe Park and Kaunas, you will dine at the hotel and spend the night at Hotel Algirdas in Vilnius.
Sunday, July 4 - Vilnius - Sigulda (Lithuania / Latvia)
After breakfast, its off to Sigulda. On the way you will visit one of the most sacred places of Lithuania – the Hill of Crosses ("Kryziu Kalnas" in Lithuanian). Then, driving on, you will have a stopover in Bauska, visiting Rundale Palace – a summer residence of the Duke of Courland. Then proceeding on to your arrival in Sigulda where you will have an opportunity to visit Turaida Castle.
Check in at Hotel Sigulda for dinner and an overnight stay.
Monday, July 5 - Sigulda – Tallinn (Latvia / Estonia)
This morning, after breakfast, you will depart for Tallinn with a stop-over in Tartu. Tartu, also known as "University Town", is the second largest city in Estonia. There you will take a short sightseeing tour. Then on to Tallinn.
Once in Tallin, you will check into Hotel Reval Central and later dine at the hotel. Overnight stay.
Tuesday, July 6 - Tallinn (Estonia)
Today you will be able to enjoy a sightseeing tour of Tallinn featuring the Old Town with its Town Hall Square, the ruins of the Brigit monastery, the Cathedral and many merchant houses. Then, lunch in the Old Town.
In the afternoon you can consider taking an optional tour to Rocca al Mare (Etnographic Open-Air museum) or Kadriorg Palace.
Overnight in Tallinn at Hotel Reval Central.
Wednesday, July 7 - Tallinn (Estonia)
Today is a day of leisure or consider an optional side excursion to Helsinki. Dinner will be served at Hotel Reval Central followed by an overnight stay.
Thursday, July 8 - Tallinn –
Parnu - Riga (Estonia / Latvia)
Today you depart for Riga after breakfast with a stop-over in Parnu – a small spa near the Baltic Sea. Then off to Riga. Once you check in to the hotel, the afternoon is yours.
Dinner at Hotel Albertas (or lunch in Parnu). Overnight stay.
Friday, July 9 - Riga (Latvia)
An exciting sightseeing tour of Riga is planned for today. You will discover that, at one time or another, the German, Russian and Jewish people have all left their indelible mark on Riga - known before World War II as the Paris of the North. The city is the mixture of old and new. This is especially evident when you see the architecture of the Old Town. This is also a city where you will find buildings having their own sense of humor -- walk with your head up and eyes peeled for architectural wonders you are not likely to see anywhere else in the world!
After having lunch in Old Town, you will be on your own to explore Riga. You might consider an optional sightseeing tour of the Latvian Etnographic Open-Air museum and perhaps some Riga Balsams tasting.
Overnight in Hotel Albertas in Riga.
Saturday, July 10 - Riga (Latvia)
Today is a free day in Riga. An optional trip to the famous sea port of Jurmala, just nine miles away, is also possible if you are so inclined.

Sunday, July 11 - Riga - Nida
(Latvia / Lithuania)
Departure to Nida after breakfast. Stopover in Klaipeda – the seaport and the third largest city of Lithuania. visit the Old Town. Then it's off to Nida.
Check in at Hotel Nerija and have dinner. Overnight stay in Nida.
Monday, July 12 -
Curonian Spit (Lithuania)
The National Park of Curonian Spit is included on the UNESCO World Heritage List. It is a unique patch of land, washed by the Baltic sea in the West and Curonian Lagoon in the East. Here the sea wind shifted the sand, creating a range of large sand dunes. The largest of the dunes are up to 330 feet high. The settlements on the spit boast their original architecture, typical to this region.
You can consider an optional boat trip to another shore of the Curonian Lagoon where you will enjoy a nice picnic. The picturesque panorama, fresh air and hospitality of local peope will definitely make the trip unforgettable.
Dine at the Hotel Albertas in Riga and spend the night.
Tuesday, July 13 - Curonian Spit - (Lithuania)
You will depart for Vilnius in the afternoon. Check into the hotel for the evening. Then, dine at Hotel Algirdas in Vilnius and spend the night.
Wednesday, July 14 - Departure
It's time, after breakfast, to head to the airport for you journey back home. Although the trip will be over, the wonderful memories of the Baltic States will come back with you. On your flight home you will wonder why you had not visited Lithuania, Estonia and Latvia sooner!
